Question: I have seen no C-clips on the XB8, why?

Juraj: The I.S.S. design enabled me to create a car with no C-clips and no need for thread lock so you can be sure that a lost C-clip or a loose screw will never again end your race. Although the points are small they are the important key features that set XRAY apart from the competition.


Question: Did you have to change anything after testing the prototypes?

Juraj: Of course, I am too crazy about details. The initial concept remained unchanged as the car worked perfectly right away but few minor details were tweaked to ensure the highest performance. We modified the rear wing to improve strength during long runs, a new mold was done and placed back into production, reworking and retesting it to make sure it will last even longer. After extensive jump tests we were not satisfied enough with the way the shocks worked, so we reworked the pistons and made them conical for improved shock operation. We even had production batches of rear braces done, we found that in some extreme conditions, jumping from extensive height and landing on asphalt could cause them to bend, we quickly ordered new Swiss 5mm aluminum 7075 material and produced a new rear ultra-rigid brace. There were dozens of similar small details we spent months on to fine tune. No detail was overlooked in the production; we always believe that when customers get the final car, they should not have to do any modifications. Simply build, race & enjoy!


Question: Why did you decide upon C-hub suspension and not pivot ball suspension?

Juraj: It is an innovative idea of adjusting the C-hub suspension that only uses one C-hub; this means the driver, does not have to buy different caster blocks since the entire caster adjustment range is done on the stock and original C-hub block. This XRAY patent is called I.A.C. (Integrated Adjustable CasterTM). I am very proud of this new design and as I said it''''s only a XRAY idea and patent

Question: I see that the car has composite steering blocks. This is first time I have seen composite steering blocks on an off-road car. Are they strong enough to survive the abuse?

Juraj: I definitely did not want to go with the very heavy pivot ball suspension, so I had to come up with something professional and smart. I designed a very unique "smart" composite steering block… but do not get the wrong idea about it being made from composite. It is a non-traditional steering block molded from special lightweight but rigid composite mixture. Every steering block features a molded-in threaded steel insert bushing that is manually inserted into the mold before each steering block is injected. This design enables the kingpin screw to be firmly held in the bushing, while the end of the screw is self-locked in the composite material. This design results in an ultra-lightweight steering system that is very free and provides precise steering.


Question: Why do you call the XB8 a luxury car? Do you include leather seats and GPS?

Juraj: There are no optional parts that you have to buy; the kit even includes a set of 4 Hudy profiTOOLS for easy and comfortable assembly. We even include a 1200MAH receiver pack, two sets of shock springs, two sets of clutch springs (0.9mm and 1.0mm), anti-roll bars, fuel filter, set of steel bushings for I.A.C., etc. There is no single option part that you will have to buy. All the composite parts are pre-cut from the molding trees and are nicely finished, so there is no need for any trimming or grinding, the customer just enjoys building the car. Everything fits together perfectly all the time, every time! This perfectionism is the result of our TQM manufacturing. ?As always, XRAY also includes a full-color 3D image instruction manual that is extremely easy to follow. The easy set-up and service of the XB8 makes the life of every driver a breeze. I am confident that once off-road drivers use this car, they will not want to change to another brand ever again. As I mentioned earlier, XRAY is ready not only to raise the bar but also to shatter it.

以下皆为个人意见:

Swift和XB8本来就是两种不同设计思想的产物,因此,很多东西自然就不具备可比性,而很多网友可能要把两辆车拿来作性能比较,那是不科学的……

至少从国内来看,Swift把定位放在性价比上,在拥有较低价格的同时获得超值的性能(但这个性能肯定并非顶级性能,适合初学者或者进阶者),这和XB8的设计思想应该是完全不同的,自然也无法单独从性能上比较……

而Xray以材质和性能为核心,追求一种完美的设计Style,而且也很为Driver着想,很多设计都体现着一种“Easy、Smart、Competition”的思想,高贵的品质和精良的制造所打造的XB8,实为高端车(高级车手)不二的首选!
