今天一早Diggity Designs宣布了他们即将推出的TC3,4的改装套件: Diggity Designs XL-R8 patent pending conversion kit for associated TC-3/TC-4. The car is more tunable than many other cars. The car is totally interchangable with losi and associated parts as well as others. Like the shocks can be any brand you like, the hub carriers can be losi or associated front or rear, etc... The main items you need to convert your car is: * Associated TC-3/4 diffs front and rear (also will accept nitro TC-3 diffs,) * Associated TC-3/4 shocks front and rear (or prefered brand) * Associated TC-3/4 ball bearing set (or comparable bearings) * Associated TC-3/4 front and rear hub carriers (or prefered brand, Losi is good) * Associated TC-3/4 turnbuckles (or comparable turnbuckles lundsford) * Associated TC-3 hingepin set (TC-4's will not work) * Associated TC-3/4 hex hubs (or comparable hex hubs) * Associated TC-3/4 cvd's (or comparable cvd's irs, hardcore) * Associated TC-3/4 plastic pinion gears for the drive shaft * Associated TC-3/4 body mount posts front and rear * Associated TC-3/4 spur gear adapter (slight modification required) * Associated TC-3/4 servo mounts * Associated TC-3/4 foam bumper (TC-4 prefered) * Associated TC-3/4 Misc (shock mounting hardware, all ball ends, 4 screws) * Losi/Kimbrough Servo saver (losi is prefered) * Kimbrough 69 (48 pitch) or (comparable 64 pitch gear 92, 90) The main features of this car are: Lowered center of gravity (the complete drive train is lowered 1/4 inch from the TC-3/4 for better handling and faster acceleration on carpet). New suspension geometry front and back, custom aluminum steering rack, and new front/rear hinge-pin blocks with aluminum swivel washers to hold the pins. The chassis is fully interchangable to run a solid pack of batteries on one side, or you have the option of running 4-and 2 which is the prefered set-up because the car is better balanced side to side, and the 4-and2 set-up is adjustable to move the weight of the 4 cells front-middle-or back! The kit is made of aircraft grade aluminum, carbon-fibre, and nylon 66 components to make the car beefier, stiffer, and more precise than a blown injected car with blown injected parts!! This kit is for serious racers only!! Made of aircraft grade 6061 t6 aluminum parts (diff-housings, steering rack, motor mount, arms, solid drive shaft, hinge pin supports, and antenna mount) as well as 3mm quasy-semetric carbon fibre components (wich means its layered at 4 angles for more stiffness than just bi-directional and believe it or not most big name companies use only the bi-directional; its not noticable to the eye very well and it is cheaper) (3mm chassis, shock towers, top plate, and foam bumper support), and last nylon 66 impact resistant plastic parts (hinge pin blocks, drive shaft bearing supports). Also included are metal and aluminum screws, washers, motor screws, steering hardware, and misc hardware to complete the car kit. This is the first version of the XL-R8 and we will be constantly working on the car to improve it as much as possible. This car is already tearing up the local tracks in Michigan beating all the other cars-losi-hpi-associated-and x-ray..!! Get one now so you can make that A-main like you should be! |
