The force acting from the propeller to the nut is CCW so that it will tight the nut instead of make it loose. This is common knowledge of engineer. The problem is when you start the engine, the propeller will become loose if it is not tight enough. The situation is same as the fly wheel. |
Fly wheel will not loose when operation that means the propeller will also not loose in operation. If your are an engineer, you should know. Imagine the propeller rotate about the shaft, the nut will move with the propeller and the direction is tighten the nut instead of loose it. If the shaft is left-hand screw, it will loose the nut. |
