The motor is sold separate and can be powered by LRP’s Sphere ESC or Novaks’s brushless speed control. The ESC is simply increadable! It was desinged by the folks over at LRP and it is capable of operating brushed or brushless motors. The HV-Maxx ESC uses the same screw pattern as the Traxxas EVX ESC, making it the ideal upgrade. Novak also claims it to be extremely efficient and is virtually maintenance-free.
