The Team Magic was taken to an ideal location to see just what it’s made of. We mounted Schumacher tyres and inserts to the supplied wheels. These worked well on the damp, predominantly grass, test area. After an air filter change and some engine tuning it was time to see what the Magic could do.
The first thing that is apparent is the M1B’s cornering. The buggy was setup using the base (manual) settings, and these seem to be fantastic for steering. There was a very responsive turn in, with the ability to retain speed through the corner. All of this whilst the M1B was sitting flat, no signs of significant body roll. This is down to a number of reasons, but primarily the M1Bs VERY low centre of gravity.

Unfortunately at this stage we encountered our first problem. A pin had come loose from a rear CVD, due to the loosening of the two grub screws that hold it in place. With all the CVD’s now thread locked and a wheel nut pin used as a substitute for the missing CVD pin, the problem did not reoccur. The CVD’s are factory assembled, but it goes to show that it’s worth while to strip and thread lock the grub screws yourself. It may well be a good idea to grind a small recess in the CVD pin to ensure it stays in place.
Running again, the M1B was taken to test over bumpy ground and try some jumps. The suspension is one of the different points of the buggy so we were keen to see how it performed for real. We can certainly say we were pleasantly surprised. The shocks really soaked up little bumps with ease, allowing a nice flowing drive, aided with the lower centre of gravity, making the M1-B very stable indeed. The brakes are something that should also be noted. Because of the well sealed design, despite being low down they did not clog despite the wet conditions, and were very strong indeed.
In the air the M1B was very stable, in fact very little throttle/brake correction was needed before landing, as the buggy would inherently tend to land on its wheels. This made the buggy very fun to jump, although we didn’t want to go too high! Unfortunately it’s during the jumping we experienced the second problem. The Team Magic supplied servo horn stripped. Not a major issue at all as this is easily replaced with the servo manufactures supplied horn. However it’s worth noting that it’s best to use the manufacturer’s servo horn rather then Team Magic’s.
Here at Neo-Buggy we like to keep our reviews fair. We strongly believe that you can’t reliably report on a buggies performance with just one or two outings. Therefore in a couple of month’s time we are going to produce a follow-up report and up-date you all on how the Team magic really goes. So far, so good! Amazing cornering and shock absorbers with inherent air stability!

The M1-B has certainly been a joy to build and run. High quality materials, amazing tolerances and detailed design all for a unique buggy. When Team Magic says the M1B is a “technological masterpiece” I don’t think they are boasting too much at all. As an engineer I really appreciate the meticulous attention to detail that has gone into the design of every single component. I feel like I have said unique a thousand times throughout this review, but it really does best describe the buggy.
Team Magic has taken a risk making something very different, and risks don’t always pay off. For the M1B though, the risks have paid off greatly. We know the buggy is fast enough, due to results it has already achieved, that’s one box ticked. I believe this class is one that is constantly getting closer to perfection, and the M1B is no exception, taking us closer yet.
Realistically, we are getting to a point where a lot of buggies are just as quick around a track with the right setups. Therefore the racer will be looking at what the M1B can offer them over rivals, and what are the downfalls.

As you can see from the pros and cons, the things mentioned in cons are minor and easily sorted! So we have been very impressed the Team Magic, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the follow up review to see how the M1-B stands the test of time. Therefore we rate the M1-B:
综合评分(5分制)
4.5分

三叶杯泰仔在跑一辆M1B,成绩一般。第二轮预赛还跑掉了风翼架。
第一次看到没有风翼的BUGGY是怎么跳跳台的,是跳不过的 :em01: :em01: :em01:

玩RC坏东西应该算很正常的,我看到飞引擎座,断狗骨,费掉A臂的BUGGY不计其数,至于没有风翼的BUGGY飞坡是可以的,就是在空中不太稳定罢了
